We are currently processing your claim. While transport damage is uncommon, it can occur during vehicle transport. At Team Alex, such incidents happen in only about 2-3% of all transports, which is well below industry averages. Nonetheless, we recognize that being part of that 2-3% is never easy.

 

We are committed to doing everything possible to find a satisfactory solution for you as quickly as possible. However, please understand that there is a process in place that may include adjusters and the carrier's insurance companies, so please be patient.

Here are some critical points about carrier's cargo insurance that we would like to remind you that

are clearly stated in all of our quotes and dispatch notices

Report any damages directly to Team Alex within 24 hours of delivery. If damages are not reported within this timeframe and noted on the BOL (Bill of Lading) signed by both parties or documented by video while the carrier is still present, insurance companies will not accept a claim, and damages will not be covered or paid. Since time is of the essence, do not waste reporting the transport damages to the dealership or the carrier. Report them directly to Team Alex.

Cargo insurance provided by carriers covers damage resulting from driver negligence and accidents. However, this insurance does not cover incidents classified as "Acts of God," such as those caused by extreme weather or flying debris. In the case of damage caused by "Acts of God," such as a cracked windshield or paint chips from flying debris, the vehicle's insurance is responsible for providing coverage. In such cases, the carrier, SYCN, or their respective insurance would not provide compensation. The vehicle owner's insurance would cover these damages.

The carrier is not responsible for acting as a third-party appraiser and inspecting the vehicle on behalf of the recipient. Their obligation is to document the vehicle's current condition at the time of pickup and transport it.
