🔐 Why Vehicles Should Never Be Left Unattended Overnight
Please do not allow a carrier to leave a vehicle overnight unless an authorized dealership representative is present to inspect and accept delivery.
This is important because the delivery inspection and signed Bill of Lading establish the vehicle’s condition at the exact moment responsibility transfers from the carrier to the dealership. Without that documentation, it may be difficult to prove when or where damage occurred, and an insurance claim could be disputed and most likely denied.
Before the carrier leaves:
✅ Inspect the vehicle
✅ Photograph any concerns
✅ Note possible damage on the Bill of Lading
✅ Sign the completed delivery paperwork
Photos alone are not enough. They should support a physical inspection and properly completed Bill of Lading.
